Use the safest sturdy shelter available to you as quickly as possible.

• Go to a basement if one is available.
• Otherwise use a small interior room on the lowest floor.
• Stay away from windows and exterior walls.
• Put as many walls between you and the outside as possible.
• Protect your head and neck with your arms, a helmet, blankets, or a mattress if available.
